John Fruehe is the Director of Product Marketing for AMD, responsible for successful positioning and marketing of the AMD Opteron processor in today's Server and Workstation markets. With his continued focus on datacenter power and efficiency, John has been named as AMD's newest representative to The Green Grid, a global consortium dedicated to developing and promoting energy efficiency for data centers and business computing ecosystems.
Previously at AMD, John was the Director of Business Development for Server/Workstation products at AMD. Covering both Global and regional OEM customers, as well as distribution channel, resellers and system integration partners, John's team helped evangelize the benefits of AMD Opteron processors to AMD's key partners and assist in bringing AMD Opteron processor-based platforms to market. As a 19-year veteran of the enterprise market, John has held global marketing and sales management positions at key technology leaders including Dell Inc., Compaq Computer, Zenith Data Systems and CDW Computer.
